TAUT - Through Fire - Part Two

Eek! It's finally here!

I am so sorry to keep you waiting for so long! Literally, I feel so badly!:( I just had no time to go to the park until yesterday.

Okay, anyway, back to TAUT!:D In case you need a refresher, which I bet you will, here's the link to the first part- LINKEDY LINK LINK

Dmitri sat with her eyes shut, her simple plan running through her brain. She tried to think of every possibility, every kink in the road that might occur.

"Gee, it's smoky!" Chris coughed as she gazed outside the helicopter.

"That's what fire produces," Dmitri stated, having to shout over the noise of the helicopter.

"Great, thanks! I totally forgot!" Chris replied sarcastically. 

Logan sighed and stared at the spreading fire beneath them.

"I wonder what caused a fire that water doesn't stop? Maybe a science experiment?" he wondered aloud.

"I'm guessing a science experiment that went rogue. That's usually the case for us!" Dmitri guessed.

"Okay, we're gonna propel the rope ladder down now! We'll wait from the air until you're done!" Sara shouted over the noise. Chris snatched off her glasses, since she only needed them for close up, she would rather be free from them for the mission. Dmitri, Chris, and Logan climbed down the ladder and landed in a circle that was free from flames....for the time being. 

"Okay, I got the stuff." Logan handed the spray to Dmitri. 

"Great, let's get this over with," Dmitri coughed. She began to mist the air all around them, then stepped closer to the flames and sprayed repeatedly at it. 

"That should be good for now, we have to wait for the chemical to make its way through the fire," she told them and sat down on the wet ground, as far away from the flames as she could.

Chris and Logan mimicked her and also sat on the ground.

"The ground is soaked! They must have used tons of water!" Chris exclaimed as she dug her fingers into the wet dirt. Dmitri nodded. A nauseating smell filled the air and Dmitri gagged. It must be the spray. She felt the taste of metal in the back of her mouth and scowled.

"Mmmhmmmm uhmmmMmmm?" Chris mumbled something, but Dmitri only heard mumbles. Breathing in the putrid air, her eyes blurred and her head fogged over. 

She scrambled up, desperate to escape the unconsciousness she knew was grabbing at her. Not again! She thought. Dmitri heard two dull thumps as Chris and Logan's head hit the ground. Clawing at her last strands of consciousness, Dmitri's world went black.

Counting Down Christmas - Day Six, Decorating the Christmas Tree

Hi everyone!

I am so sorry I didn't post in four days! Oops, time just flew by me, I guess.

(There also might have been a new book I bought that I was absorbed in all of yesterday)

BUT, I have Day Six for all of you! Check it out!:D

It was a bright yet cold morning and Hailey tied her bathrobe around her waist as she smiled at Nikki.

"Hi, girls!" Hailey began as the girls she had called piled around. "Nikki and I called you here so that we could all decorate the tree together!" Hailey smiled.

"Well," Saige spoke up after a few moments of silence. "Where's the tree?"

"Glad you asked. Adam!" Hailey called and they heard someone shuffling. 

"Ta da!" Hailey cried and Adam hefted the large Christmas tree box in the rest of the way. 

"So, here's the tree, it's all pink and fluffy and-" Adam coughed, "-dusty." 

"Thanks so much, Adam! You can put it back inside the living room now," Hailey told him and he frowned. 

"What?" he asked. "But it already came from the living room, if you didn't want it out here then you could have just left it in there!" Adam shouted, growing frustrated.

"Come on, Adam, take it back. Hailey only wanted to show the girls first," Nikki ordered. Adam sulked as he stuffed the pink Christmas tree back inside the box and dragged it to the living room. 

The girls walked behind him and they stared at the living room once he left.

"It's kinda small," Caroline stated.

"Where do we put the tree?" Faye asked. 

"Hey, I have an idea. What if we move these chairs to the side so that we can put the tree here?" Sophie offered.

"That's a great idea!" Caroline praised and Sophie blushed.

"Thanks."

Caroline and Sophie moved the chairs away.

Nikki and Saige hefted the tree out of the box and set it in the corner of the room. They began forming the branches and Hailey sneaked to the extension cord. 

Hailey grabbed the plug and pushed it into the socket. The tree lit up and Nikki took a step back.

"Oh, it's so pretty!" Saige exclaimed. "I just want to draw it!"

"Come on, let's get decorating, drawing can wait," Nikki called and Saige and Hailey stooped to grab the star ornaments. 

Faye scampered over to join the fun, but Caroline caught Sophie's sleeve before she could follow.

"Sophie, let's make some chains to decorate the house with!" Caroline said and brought out some paper, scissors, and a stapler.

"Oh, okay," Sophie replied and sat down. 

Sophie and Caroline worked on cutting strips and stapling them together while the others decorated the tree.

"This will just add that extra winter feel," Caroline grinned as she reached for a strip to start the chain.

The ornaments quickly ran out and the tree was finished, well, almost.

"Carly!" Faye skipped towards Caroline and she looked up.

"Hm?" Caroline inquired as she gazed into Faye's hazel eyes.

"You are the newest doll in the house! You get to put the tree topper on the tree!"

"Oh, cool!" Caroline said and hopped up. Hailey pushed a stool to the tree and Caroline stepped onto it.

Caroline gripped the star in her hands and placed the topper on with a firm push.

"Yay!" everyone cheered and Caroline smiled at the cheery tree.

"Guys, we still have the chain!" Sophie reminded and the girls all helped to hang it on the wall. 

It stretched across the whole living room and Sophie taped up the last bit. 

The girls stepped back to admire their work.

"It really does look beautiful!" Sophie said as she looked around. 

Nikki walked toward Hailey and they sat down, still gazing at the dazzling room.

"So, whatcha thinking?" Nikki questioned Hailey, who was mostly silent.

Hailey glanced at Nikki. "I'm just really excited to see what we're going to do tomorrow!"

I hope you liked the photostory!:D I hope to get some more posts up of what my dolls have been doing that is Christmas-y, even if it's just a picture or two of them making snowflakes or something!;)

Oh, and SIX DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS??? Isn't that insane and awesome? I can not wait and I know that it's going to just fly by!:)

TAUT - Remember Me? - Part 9

Oh my gosh, before I even start writing the next part, can I just say THANK YOU?! All of your amazing comments made my day(s), I'm so glad that all of you are so into my series!:D THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!:D

Okay, enough of that hullabaloo, time for the next part!:)

"CHRIS!!!" Dmitri yelled and woke up from a nightmare. 

Dmitri looked around her room. The room was bright. It was probably around noon.

Hayden slipped into the room and Dmitri stumbled out of her bed. She had a headache.

"Hey, Dmitri," Hayden said.

"Hello, Hayden," Dmitri replied as she fixed her hair and slipped on some shoes.

Dmitri walked past Hayden.

"Wait, where are you going?" Hayden asked.

"I need to see-" Dmitri's voice broke, "where is Chris?"

"You have to tell me! WHERE IS SHE?!" Dmitri cried and grabbed Hayden's wrist.

"Dmitri---" Hayden sighed and Dmitri let go of Hayden's wrist, "Come with me, Dmitri."

Dmitri and Hayden walked out of her room and entered into a room Dmitei had never seen before.

There were doctors and nurses all hurrying around a bed. A scanner of Chris's heart beat dropped up and down weakly.

"She's alive!!" Dmitri cried happily.

"She's unconscious, she has been ever since she was hit," Hayden replied, "we're afraid she won't make it."

Dmitri walked over to Logan, who was pacing.

"Logan, are you okay?"

 

"No," was all he said. Dmitri could see the stains of tears on his face, but she didn't point it out.

"Logan, how did you get us here? I fainted or something," Dmitri asked. Logan stopped pacing and looked at Dmitri.

"I had to carry you both. Once you passed out, I had no choice."

"Oh," Dmitri's face grew hot, "sorry for fainting. I was really stressed."

"It's fine," Logan smiled weakly. Dmitri asked about Daisy and Logan said she was being taken care of.

Right then, the room exploded with cries and shouts.

"She's awake!!" Someone yelled.

"Chris!!!" Dmitri ran to the bed and saw Chris's eyes flutter open.

"Oh, Chris!" Logan whispered from behind Dmitri.

"Where am I? Who are you? Where is my mom?!" Chris asked, her eyes wide.
