A Christmas Misunderstanding - A Photostory

Hello
Greetings
Welcome
Hi
Hiya
IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS, SO MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I cannot believe that it's Christmas Eve Eve. I'm mentally still stuck in November, maybe October, possibly even September... O.O
But anyway, I'm sorry I never posted last week, things got in the way- tis the season. XD

Isabelle and Cecile sat around the living room, talking and chatting about whatever crossed their minds. Christmas was only a couple days away, and it was rumored they were supposed to decorate soon.
Molly trotted into the living room, a smile on her lips.
"Guess what, guys?" she asked in a sing songy voice.
"What?"
"I just heard Emma saying that she got us a new tree this year! I wonder what it's gonna be," Molly exclaimed, walking closer.
"Cool!" the girls cried. "I wonder if it'll be green!"
"I wonder if it'll have colored lights?"
They continued to talk about the possibilities, until Emma came by and dropped a plastic bag in the room. She left without a word, because she was on the phone FaceTiming Jaclynn.
The girls stared at the bag, the moment stretching out. Finally, Molly leaped into action and tore at the bag.
She pulled down the bag, snatched the tree and set it in the middle of the room.
They stared at it, unmoving.
"It's white," Cecile murmured.
"It's already decorated," Isabelle said.
"It's plastic!" Molly shouted. An air of distain and disappointment settled in the air as they looked at the tree.
"What is that?" Nikki asked, coming into the room. Molly explained the situation and their new tree.
"This is awful! This tree isn't even supposed to be decorated! It's atrocious!" she ranted. The girls all nodded in agreement.
"We need to do something to show how much this is unacceptable," Nikki said, and the girls came closer, circling the tree.
"Like?" Isabelle asked.
Nikki grabbed Emma's trash can and hoisted the tree into it. The girls all watched nervously.
"This! It'll show how we feel about it! We want our pink tree back!" Nikki answered. Glitter was spread all over the place, including herself, so Nikki dusted herself off.
Jess burst into the living room, her face showing her shock.
"What are you guys doing?" she asked.
"We are making a statement," Molly replied, squaring her shoulders.
"What kind of statement are you making by throwing away Emma's new room decoration?" Jess questioned.
"Room...decoration...?" Cecile chimed in.
"Yes! This isn't our Christmas tree, if that's what you thought."
The girls laughed awkwardly. "Oh..."
"This is our tree," Jess continued, and Adam stumbled in, carrying the large Christmas tree box.
The girls all cheered and drew the white tree from the trash can. They set it back on its stand, then grabbed their Christmas tree from the box.
They put it in its normal place, Jess shaking her head at them. The four girls immediately went to work. Christmas was coming and they had a house to decorate!

I hope you liked the photostory! And I hope you have a great Christmas, see you next week!:D

Who I Think GOTY 2017 Should Be

HELLO!
At this late time in the year, December 9, to be exact, some stuff has been released about Girl of the Year 2017!
So far, I've heard that she goes on a similar journey as Saige did, that she stutters, and is African American.
Mmm...from what I've seen, to be honest, I am uninterested.
What I think personally is that when AG has made a lot of black dolls, they limit the options for future AA's to look unique. So, I sort of think when Gabriella comes out, she's going to look like any other TM doll they already have. I could be wrong, but I don't really think so, so I am going to propose three alternative ideas for GOTY 2017!
(Disclaimer- I'm not actually trying to change who GOTY 2017 should be. XD LOL)

My first option is Mallory Johnson, she's twelve, and I haven't come up with any story for her. XD I really only came up with the design, cuz that's what I care about when I'm getting a doll, not what her story is.;D

She has the classic face mold, medium skin tone, Felicity's green eyes or a new color that is similar, curly black hair, and rectangular glasses that come with the doll. :)
Her wardrobe would definitely have some green in it, like her meet outfit does!
Mallory was inspired by the actual doll, Gabriella, but changed in ways. I used the silhouette of the doll that I saw HERE and started drawing. :D
I sort of imagine Mallory to really smart and into school and maybe want to be some sort of botanist! She could be so smart that some kids pick on her, and she has to learn that bullies are people, too, and maybe she could be friends at the end of the book with one of the girls that picked on her... I guess I just now came up with a story for her. XD
Mallory is my favorite one I did.;)

The first girl I came up with is called Audrey McCarron! As I made her, I realized that she was looking a lot like one of my younger friends, so I named her first name after her. :D
She would have the classic face mold or the Marie-Grace face mold, blue eyes, light brown hair with longer bangs, and pale skin. She would be around ten or eleven.
Her meet outfit would be a blue and gray poncho, plain gray skirt, and fringe blue boots.
Maybe this girl could be trying to figure out what she wants to be later on in life, and has lots of options that she has to narrow down. I dunno. ;D
(I now realize she looks very similar to Grace Thomas...Hm...XD)

This is Kyra Brown, she's older than the others, and I imagine she's around thirteen years old, which is pretty old for AG to do.;)
Kyra has the classic face mold, medium skin tone, long curly-wavy hair, green eyes, and a new freckle pattern on her nose.
Her meet outfit would be a lot more modern and a bit older than AG usually does, and would be a white turtleneck tank top sort of style, black pants, a red and white flannel, and a pair of red and white sneakers.
I have really no idea of a story for her, other than the fact that she likes to skate and play video games... ;)

What do you guys think about my GOTYs? Which one is your favorite? Do you have any opinion on Gabriella, the real GOTY 2017, so far? :D

Converse with me in the comments below. ;)

P.S. The next post I do will be Christmas-y! YAYYY!! :D Maybe even a photostory...? ;)

I'M BAAACK!! + WHAAAATTT???

Hey everyone!
Guess who's back from a writing vacation?
*points at myself*
Did you miss me?
*insert Moriarty picture here*
*sighs because most people here won't understand*
*continues*
ANYWAY! If you were somehow unaware, I took a month vacay from Wack-A-Doodle-Dolls to do NANOWRIMO! And it went super well, I wrote over 50k, my word count goal, and won! Thanks for y'all support and well wishing during that.;)
*trumpet fanfare*
Technically, I should have made a post last Friday, but I was performing at my church and doing school and all that wonderful stuff (maybe as well watching YouTube), so I didn't have any time to.
I can't wait to get back to posting here, but I still don't know how often it will be since DECEMBER IS THE CRAZIEST MONTH OF THE YEAR! I plan to stick to my schedule though, things just might not be as great as they should be.
AND ALSO, THE MUSE OF BLOG/POST INSPIRATION HASN'T VISITED IN A WHILE.
Just saying.

But guess what?
I AM NEARLY AT 60 FOLLOWERS!!! AND SOMEHOW EVERY ONE OF MY POSTS HAS 300-500 PAGE VIEWS ON IT?!?!?!?! (The ones that are recent at least)
HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!
*explosions*
I guess that's the sound of my blog blowing up...?XD LOL!
OHHHH!! AND MY TWO YEAR BLOGOVERSARY WENT FLYING BY DURING NOVEMBER!!!
Like, seriously. I KNEW it was coming and yet it still went by without me knowing.
So lots of exciting stuff! My next post will likely have to do with GOTY 2017 and my thoughts and ideas of who she ought to be.;)

I guess this post has gone on long enough, I just want to say thank you for getting my blog to this point, because I would have given up years ago, back when I had Wack-A-Doodle-Doos if it weren't for the awesome people who came to my blog.
AND SPECIAL THANKS TO MY BFF DIDDLE DEE POP OF DIDDLE POP LAND FOR GETTING PEOPLE TO COME TO MY BLOG!!!
*wildly celebrates*
AYYYYYY! YOU ROCK! XD
So, just, thanks!;)

Things Doll Lovers Are Tired of Hearing

Hi everyone!
In case you missed my previous post, this is my last post before I am taking a break for the month of November.:)
But anyhoo, let's get onto the post!!:D
This post is hopefully gonna be relatable to my doll loving buddies! These are things I commonly hear, and I think they might be things that you guys hear, too!;) This is mainly aimed toward the AG lovers, FYI, but lots of them could be for other dolls as well.:)
Those dolls are going to be so much money later!
As in, saying I'm gonna sell them later? Uh, no...I don't think you understand, Person. These dolls have a connection to me! I wouldn't just sell them because I get older!

You're still doing that?Uh, yeahhhhh...I still like dolls. This one doesn't need much explaining. It's just annoying.XD

You want ANOTHER doll?!
This one I've heard from my grandma!XD She'll be really shocked that I want another one, when I have so many. Sigh, just another annoying thing I hear.;D

They all look the same!
This one. Ugh. When people think that all of the dolls look the same. It's like- NOOO!! They all look different! I mean, some look similar, but these people are comparing like Felicity to Marie-Grace!XD

You should be saving up for a car!If you are a younger doll lover, it's likely you don't hear this one. But for a fifteen year old, I hear it quite a lot. And heck, they might be right, but that doesn't mean I can't save up for other things as well!

And the bonus---
People calling American Girls "American Dolls"
This. Is. SO. Annoying. Guys. *shudders* It just sounds so wrong. *shudders again*
***
Do people say these things to you a lot? And what else do people tell you that bugs you? Tell me in the comments!:D

Hit or Miss Results + Some Important News

Hi everyone!
I've got an announcement, but first- the hit or miss results, coming to you a week late!!XD

And now...This outfit is....

A HIT!!!

It was a landslide! Thank you everyone who voted, it was really fun!:)

And now onto the important news! I will be taking a break from blogging on Wacka during the whole month of November.
If you follow or read my other blog, then you likely know that I am doing this thing called NaNoWriMo, where you write a full 50k word novel in that month. It's crazy, and I need to dedicate all of my time to reach my word count goal, so unfortunately that means I won't be posting on here. I may come by and make a post once in a while, but I don't want to have any added pressure to make posts.;) I will be making a legit post next week though, so be looking out for that!:D If you want to still stay in contact with me in November, check out my other blog Drawn To Writing where I will still be posting (hopefully! ;D) during November.

To make this post just a bit more fun, here's a photo of Saige!;)
Bye!:D

Hit or Miss???

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday, or otherwise known as the day that I post upon...XD Unless you forget and just get happily surprised every Friday.;)
I've got a fan favorite for y'all today! It's really awesome to see that some people are doing this game even on their own blogs, it's so cool to think how far it's gotten!
Anyway, here is the outfit I created that I am not 100% sure about...
If you do not know how to play this game, then here are the very, very simple rules:
Look at the outfit
Decide if you think it's a hit (you like it!) or a miss (you don't like it!)
Comment below your opinion!:)
Simple, right?;) Don't be too nice to say that you don't like it, just an FYI.:P
NOW GET VOTING! I'll post the results next week!:D

So, You Think You're Growing out of Dolls...

Hi everyone!
I've got a post I hope is gonna be interesting, so let's get right into it!:D

So, you think you're growing out of dolls. You haven't really played with them at all, you haven't wanted to make blog posts, and you're worried you're growing out of dolls. I know how this is first-hand, and occasionally, I'll still feel it.
Lately, I haven't been really wanting a new doll. Usually I have a new doll I want all of the time. I get a new doll, and within a week I'm like- THIS IS THE NEXT DOLL OF MY DREAMS!XD But right now, I have a certain doll in mind if I get any new ones, but I'm still not needing her like normal.
It can worry me if I have lost interest in what I think I should be loving, and I'm like- I don't want to grow out of dolls! I love my dolls! I wanna keep doll blogging!
My perspective and my desire can change, and that is okay. Because it's fine to have your thoughts swap themselves out.

(Wanna just throw out there that no, I'm not growing out of dolls or leaving my blog or anything.XD)

As of late, I've been really into making posts that aren't photostories or photoshoots. I loved making the posts like "What I Would Do If I Owned American Girl" and "The Truth About Being a Doll Blogger". They're unlike what I've done before, and I love it! I've realized that although I still really enjoy making posts about my dolls' lives, my preferences changed. And it's made me feel better about my blog than I ever have! It's made me feel that I am finally where I should be and have figured out what I love to do on this blog.
So, you might not be growing out of dolls, guys. You might just be going into a new part of your love for dolls.
Don't jump into anything or delete your blog just because you haven't been feeling it lately. You wanna know how many times I would have deleted my blog because of feeling that way?
MANY MANY TIMES.XD
That's my thoughts on it. You might just be growing into a new time of doll love. But in case you're not, and it really is time for you to move on, know this---
It is entirely okay.
We all have different seasons in our lives, and you might be entering a new one. Yes, it might be sad, but I have a friend who got back into dolls, made a blog, then left, and she tells me sometimes just how happy she is that she left and that it was the right decision.:)
So...yeah...:)
I don't know entirely where this post is going now that I have written it all down, but I hope it was interesting to read or helped you in some way. If not, I'm sure next time my post will be better.;D

Have you ever felt that you're growing out of dolls? Which doll do you want next?:)

Sadie's Hope - Part Six

GUYS. CAN Y'ALL EVEN BELIEVE IT?
After nearly a whole year I am posting the next part of Sadie's Hope. Since all of you know you need a refresher, here are all of the parts in order so you can read and remember what the heck has happened---
(Disclaimer: Earlier, the lady who had dragged Sadie and Amy down to the basement was played by one of Jaclynn's dolls. But now, she is played by Elizabeth. Just wanted you to know...they are the same character.:))
*lights go down*
Sadie had gone to bed directly after her conversation with Ida, and hadn't gotten up until the wiry lady jabbed her in the side with her knife-like fingers.
"Wake up, one hundred and twelve!" she hissed and pulled the covers off of Sadie.
"Hey!" Sadie shouted and grasped for the stained blanket. Sadie had a feeling she would be hating this lady even more than before- if possible.
"Get up!" the lady howled. Sadie curled her fingers into a fist.
"Here is a list of chores you must complete before tonight. That is, if you wish to eat." She shoved a long list at Sadie.
"Oh, please. You keep it. I'm honored though, really," Sadie said sarcastically, pushing it away.
The lady yanked Sadie up to her feet by her hair. Sadie cried out, biting back tears of pain.
"It is not an option. You get to do chores, you scum."
Sadie winced at her throbbing head but said no more. She definitely knew she hated this lady. Almost as much as Mark.
Weeks had gone by, and Sadie still waited in the dirty orphanage for some way of escape, somehow managing to get dirtier than when she arrived.
She had gotten  used to the lady who always gave her a list of chores in the morning. But the good thing was that she and Ida had become great friends, which made the orphanage tolerable now that she had someone to speak with. All she needed was an escape plan.
"One hundred and twelve!" the lady, also known as Miss Hallowell, shouted. "Somebody is here to adopt you."
Sadie and Ida looked up from their chores. Sadie panicked. She wasn't supposed to be adopted! This would ruin everything!
"Scum, wash your face off!" Miss Hallowell demanded.
Sadie scrubbed at her face with a rag, still panicking. She had to get back to her brother, Amy, she had--
Her frantic thoughts were interrupted by Miss Hallowell as she thrust her down the stairs. Gingerly stepping downstairs, Sadie saw a lady dressed in nice clothing waiting at the desk.
"This one has been here for about a month now," Miss Hallowell said.
"Hello, what is your name?" the woman asked, her voice gentle and soft.
"Sadie. Sadie Darrel," she replied.
"Hello, Sadie, I'm Mrs. James. I want to adopt you," Mrs. James said sweetly.
Sadie shot a glance to the door. She couldn't be adopted! She had things to do!
"Go back to your room so that we can discuss things, Sadie," Miss Hallowell said. Sadie noticed the use of her name and felt a sense of loathing rise inside her. Of course, she was using her name now that she had someone to impress.
Sadie scrambled up to her room, forgetting about the evil Miss Hallowell. She thought about making an escape right now, but all too soon, Miss Hallowell dragged her back down the stairs.
She didn't even get to say goodbye to Ida.
"She's going to adopt you," Miss Hallowell informed. Numbly, Sadie followed Mrs. James into her sleek black car.
Mrs. James chatted all of the way to her house, but Sadie blocked her out. What about her brother? What about Amy? What about Ida?
She needed to tell Mrs. James her problems, so she opened her mouth...and spilled.
"Mrs. James, I have a brother that is in another orphanage, and I promised him I would get him out and come back for him! Please, do you expect me to not help him and leave him in an orphanage for the rest of his life?" Sadie prayed she would reply saying what she hoped she would say.
Mrs. James stuttered, shocked at this new development. She drove the car to the side of the street and turned it off.
She twisted in her seat after a minute and said, "Sadie, I wouldn't think about leaving him in an orphanage. Families ought to stay together."
Sadie let out a shaky breath, smiling. They were going to get her brother.
"But I really should check with my husband before we do anything. Then we'll figure it all out." Mrs. James smiled warmly and turned the car back on.

Sadie sat in silence, wondering.
What if Mr. James doesn't want my brother? What if I never see Michael again?
There were too many what ifs in Sadie's life, and she was getting tired of being out of control.

*lights go up*
LOL! I hope you liked this part! I plan to crank these parts out as quickly as I can, because I'm really eager to finish it! It's just been stretched out for WAAAY too long.;)
Now. To make myself pumpkin pancakes!
*skips off to set the griddle*

Faye's Top Five Ways to Know You. Are. A. Fangirl.

Hi everyone!
I'm here today with a post from Faye, so I'll just hand over the computer to her now....
Emma? Where is my chair? I'M STANDING! I DON'T STAND! GET ME MY CHAIR SO I CAN START YOUR POST!!!!
(My post?! This is your post! But fine. I'll get you your chair.)
Emma. This is not my chair. GET ME MY REAL CHAIR!!!
(What's the difference? It's still a cha-)
EVERYONE IS EXPECTING ME WITH THE SAME CHAIR.
(UGH! Fine.-.-)
Perfect. Thank you. I was wrong, Emma, you aren't as useless as you look.
(Uhhhhh....)
NOW! Onto this post! I am here to bring down THE TRUTH!!! THE OFFICIAL WAYS TO KNOW IF YOU ARE A FAN GIRL. LET'S DO IT!!!
NUMBER ONE!
You find yourself making sounds such as- EEP! GAH!!! and asdfghjklaaaaaa!!!!!
Trust me. It's a sound. If you didn't know that, you're probably not a fangirl.
NUMBER TWO!!!
You cry. Over everything.
Character development, deaths, costumes, that characters tiny mole on the left side of their neck. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
NUMBER THREE!!!!
FEELS. FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS.
FEELS. Similar to crying over everything...but different.
Feels will tear your heart and soul out leaving you breathless crying for MERCY, MERCY, which there is none. If you have never experienced the aching heartache of feels, take your bags and get on the next train to Normalville.
NUMBER FOURRR!!
You MIIIIIIIGHT have more fandom shirts than "actual clothing".
MAC 'N' CHEESE!!!
Wait, WHAT IN THE SHIRE?!
Emma, I told you to make me five of these all with numbers on them!!
(...)
(...)
(i got hungry)
Ack, fine.
Number FIVE!!
You have at least once spent your time stewing and hating your fandom. Most likely in your PJ's. Whilst eating comfort food. With a stuffed animal.
It is a truth that most people in the fandoms absolutely hate everything in their fandom 'bout 89.9995% of the time. You will suffer, but you will enjoy it.
I hope y'all fangirls enjoyed my post, but if you read it and said- I haven't done that, nope, nope, definitely not, maybe, but no -then YOU AREN'T A FANGIRL. SORRY.
Stay obsessed, kids.
***
Well. Some of those things I don't do, so I'm sure Faye is going to tell me I'm not a fangirl.
*sigh*
Anywhoo, I hope you liked the post!
-Emma-

FAYYYEEEE!
