Hi everyone!
I'm really sorry that my posts have been sporadic, but I'm hoping to get better!
I'm really sorry that my posts have been sporadic, but I'm hoping to get better!
Anyway, here's the photostory I mentioned before!:)
Cecile and Saige sat in the living room, bored out of their minds. Everyone in the family was doing something different, and they were alone with nothing to do.
"What do you want to do?" Cecile asked Saige again.
"I have no idea," Saige replied, frowning. "We could go outside, I always get good ideas there."
They agreed and walked outside and onto the lawn, sitting down and thinking. Cecile dug her fingers into the grass and thought on their predicament.
"Hey! We could play hide-and-go-seek! I remember playing that at summer camp last year and it was so fun!" Cecile offered.
"That sounds good!" Saige agreed. They decided on a place where the seeker, in this game, Saige, would count to thirty, and once Saige started counting-
-Cecile sprung away, scanning the yard for a good hiding spot.
"Twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty! Ready or not, here I come!" Saige hollered and opened her eyes.
She scrambled up the wall and looked behind a big jug, but, alas, Cecile wasn't there.
Saige jumped onto the jug to survey the yard. Where would Cecile hide?
"What?" Saige whispered as something ducking caught her attention. She whipped her head to the left and spotted the top of Cecile's black curls.
"I see you!" She yelled, laughing when Cecile moaned playfully.
This time, Cecile would play the part of the seeker. Saige snickered as she split away; she had the perfect spot to hide!
Eagerly, Cecile counted to thirty, then spun around, her eyes darting wildly around the yard for Saige's bright red hair.
Saige wasn't hidden in an open spot, so she snuck away, stealthily tip-toeing to the thick, overgrown bushes that would make an awesome hiding spot.
"AHA!" Cecile shouted when she ripped away a clump of the bush. She sighed as she slumped to the yard again.
Where was that mischievous girl? Cecile thought, an eyebrow raised. She thought about how Saige was determined to become a spy. Of course, she would have a great hiding spot. Cecile just had to find it...
She jumped into the planter and looked around the tree, but Saige was not there.
"Bleah!" Cecile cried. Then she heard it.
A stifled giggle.
Coming from....
Cecile looked up, shielding her eyes from the sun with her hand. Saige stood nestled in the branches, chortling to herself.
"Oh, Saige! If you want to be a spy, you're going to need to learn how to stay quiet," Cecile laughed and climbed the tree.
"It is my one weakness!" Saige shouted dramatically, shaking her fist.
"Don't be so dramatic!" Cecile giggled along with Saige. "It's your turn to seek, come on."
"Oh, um," Saige started, looking embarrassed as she gazed downward. "I'm- uh, stuck..."
"The stealthy spy becomes stuck between tree branches," Cecile narrated through bursts of laughter. Saige turned bright red but laughed, too. Cecile composed herself.
"I'll go get mom."
