How to Improve Your Blog!

Hi everyone!
I've been really trying to improve my blog's quality ever since I figured out some key points to helping it succeed, so I thought it'd be fun to do a tip post to help you all make your blogs better than ever!:D Also, I'll have some random doll pictures in the post in case you just want to look at those.;D

 

Make the kind of posts you want to read!I think this is a huge thing for helping your blog improve! It's like when you're a writer and people say- "Write the book you would want to read!" it's so true! If you hate reading reviews and photoshoots, don't make those! Make the posts you're excited to see in your feed by other bloggers. If you love reading photostory series and lyric photoshoots, do those yourself! If you love what you blog, it's most likely that your readers will be able to tell that it's something you're passionate about and enjoy it more, too!:D

 

Don't make "filler" posts!!! EVER!!! XD

Filler posts- those posts you know the blogger just threw together because something is better than nothing, right?
Right?
WRONG!!!

No one wants to read a photoshoot where you don't say anything or engage them at all! If you don't put your all in your posts, don't post them!

 

Be humble.

This tip is about how to make yourself appealing to your readers, I guess. I know that I get SO bugged when I read someone start their post off like this---

Hi guys! 'Tis I, the most amazing ( ___insert name here    _)!

(Not anyone specifically, I'm just saying in general I see it a lot!;D)

I will literally be so annoyed, because even if you're kidding, know this- no one knows that, and at least I think you're super stuck-up. So, just try to be humble and stay away from those silly things so you don't get confused as a super annoying person.XD

(I used to do this when I very first started.

*cringing*)

 

Stick to your word.

This is something I am currently working on, as I have been a bit flaky with posting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday...

*smiles nervously*

But it's SO important to keep to your word! If you say you'll post the new part of your photostory series on Thursday, you better post it or people won't trust you anymore and won't take you seriously! It's nothing personal, but it's what happens.

(Bonus tip for those problems- there's this awesome thing called "scheduling posts". LOL!)

 The more you stick to your word and follow through, the more people will count on you to do the things you say!:)

 

Put your personality into it!!!!

This is big. If your blog doesn't have your voice in it, then who cares? If your readers don't love you, they won't care as much about your blog. So be yourself and don't shy away from who you really are! If you have an obsession with Doctor Who, tell everyone! Don't necessarily make everyone sick of it, but just sneakily add it to your posts. If you're a goofball, show everyone how crazy you were today, tell them stories! Just be yourself, no one wants to read posts that don't have any personality in it.:)

A "Perfect" Spring Day

Hey everyone! My EAH dolls and a few Barbie's thought that today would be an amazing day to go outside and just enjoy the beautiful spring day.:) But it was a bit windy so that was a bit of a problem...

The dolls all lay about in the grass. Some were planting plants, others were chatting, and others were doing other things.

Diane flew around in the sky,  but the wind was proving to be a problem. She couldn't control herself!

"AAAH!" Diane cried as the wind sent her sprawling on her friends.

"Oh, no!" Apple White cooed and hopped up to help Diane up.

Apple White helped Diane back to her feet.

Getting back to her planting, Apple White began placing clovers into a pot.

Meanwhile, Nicole was painting a beautiful portrait of the yard.

" Oh, hello, Bullseye!" Apple White greeted when she stood up, "you know, you smell like-er-well, something bad. You need a bath and I'm so hot. I would love to get wet."

Apple White snapped her fingers and a Disney bathtub appeared.

Apple White plopped Bullseye into the tub and began washing him.

Cupid joined Apple and they began scrubbing their tsums.

Even Cerise joined them with Winnie!

After the bath, Cerise took Winnie for a walk in her wagon.

Cedar lied in the long grass and sighed. The birds chirped. Bees buzzed. Cedar breathed in a big deep breath, it smelled like lavender and grass...and...stink? 

"BRIAR!!!" Cedar whined as she realized Briar's feet were in her face.

"You think she would wash her feet once in a while!" Cedar muttered and walked away.

Truth or Dare?

Hey everyone! Josefina came over for a play date with Isabelle and things got interesting. Check it out!:D

"So what do you want to do, Josefina?" Isabelle asked.

"I don't know," Josefina replied.

"We could play dolls?" Isabelle suggested.

"I'm not really in a play mood right now," Josefina said sadly. Isabelle laughed. She was never in a play mood when she came over.

"We could go play in the snow?" Elsa suggested. 

"It's not snowing," Josefina said.

"I have an idea!" Adam cried, and came out of his room.

"We could play truth or dare?" Adam said.

Josefina looked at Isabelle and Isabelle nodded.

They all sat in a circle. (or a line LOL) 

"Me first!" Adam said.

"Truth or dare?" Josefina asked.

"Dare!" Figures, Isabelle thought.

"I dare you to go pick the most disgusting thing out of the trash can over there and bring it over here!" Josefina dared.

"Challenge accepted," Adam said and went over to the trash can.

"Dog hair from Pepper!" Adam smirked.

"Ewwww!!" Isabelle and Josefina said in unison.

"Truth or dare?" Isabelle asked.

"Dare!" Josefina replied eagerly.

"I dare you to go stand on that beach ball that my mom just blew up!" Isabelle said.

Josefina struggled onto the beach ball.

"TA DAAAAA!!!" Josefina shouted as she stood up on the beach ball. (Fun fact: I had to let out a ton of air so that she could actually balance on it. Even when I held her there she would roll all around!;D)

"Woah," Isabelle said in shock.

"My parents were circus performers," Josefina laughed.

"Truth or Dare?" Elsa asked Isabelle.

"Truth," Isabelle replied. Of course she picked the safe one.

Elsa thought for a little while and a mishchevious grin appeared on her face.

"Dex, Keefe, or Fitz?" Elsa asked. Elsa was talking about book characters from a book that Isabelle was obsessed with. Whenever Isabelle would read the books she would get super moody and wouldn't want anybody to talk to her or bug her.

Isabelle gasped. She always said that she couldn't pick.

"HOW COULD YOU?!" Isabelle shrieked, "I can't choose!"

"You have to!!!" Elsa screamed.

"I-I-I-" Isabelle stammered, "Fiiiii---? Uhhh, Kedeeeee....?"

"If we wait for her to have a decision we are going to be skeletons. Let's just skip her," Adam laughed. Isabelle breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh, fine!" Elsa said and the game continued.

LOL! So they played for a while later, Elsa would ask Isabelle questions that concerned books and she wouldn't be able to answer them.;P
